Small (fatty?) lump near suture after wisdom teeth removal, cause for concern? : Dentistry

[ad_1]

Hi all,

6 days after my wisdom teeth removal, I am feeling great. I noticed that right at the suture where the incision was made to remove my mandible third molar, there is now small flap/lump that I can’t quite recall if had always been there. Could the surgery have caused this? Is it a cause for concern (given the pandemic, I would rather stay home.) I have read posts about buccal fat pad partially coming out due to incision made for wisdom teeth extractions, but this feels too small to be that.
