The dock is a static drop-down menu that contains icons for your most frequently used applications. When you click on one, it opens the application. In addition to opening, the app remains open until you close it. All you have to do is click the icon in the dock.

Await has now released SDK 3.0 of their Mac OS X dock simulator. The new version brings big changes in terms of looks and features. Not only can you now add items to the dock, but you can also make them auto-hide and resize. The biggest problem however, is that the tool runs perfectly on OS X 10.6.8 or higher, but is not compatible with 10.5.5 or lower. Please check out the video for the new features of SDK 3.0.

The problem with MacDock is that you’ve got to have something there to click on to open the application, and the MacDock menu doesn’t fit that requirement. It forces the user to go to their mac App Store, find and download the application and drag it off of the dock to be able to use the MacDock.

I use Docky, and have problems with this application. For one, it doesn’t allow me to add items to the dock, it instead jumps to showing a blank white screen.

Probably, a great application, only it has to be a little more polished…

Microsoft Bob is a very popular program developed by Microsoft and designed to introduce computer users to the world of computers, as well as to simulate a character called a “Bob.”
Well, thanks to some renowned Microsoft enthusiasts, one of which has taken the time to create an emulator for Windows users, we get to say goodbye to Bob and welcome our new boss, Steve Jobs.
The new program is called Steve Jobs, and is designed to simulate the character used by Apple’s CEO in his advertising campaigns, at least until the new commercial just launched on the Steve Jobs website.
