(21f uk) so i haven’t been to the dentist in 5 years due to substance abuse and mental health complications, saw a dentist for a check up today and have to get a filling for a upper right molar. i’ve never had a filling before and when i asked i was told a drill will be used and i am SO SCARED ! i’m also getting a hand scaling and polish by a hygienist tomorrow for my gum problems, how painful should i expect this to be as i have very sensitive gums that bleed easily along with tmj in my jaw, A LOT of anxiety and low pain tolerance.
