I’m wondering if anyone can advise. I’m 37 to and had recession since my teens, dentist always said it was due to orthodontic treatment but recently it’s been suggested that clenching in my sleep could be contributing. I wasn’t aware that I was clenching but I’ve been wearing a soft splint now for about 3 years and recently I’ve been waking myself up a lot in the night by clenching so hard it hurts, or I can even hear cracking sounds. I’m mainly worried this is going to make my recession worse and would love to hear any suggestions to reduce this.
