After a few years, do PRR resin wears off gradually or chips off randomly? For non-cavitated lesions, is PRR always better than nothing? : Dentistry

PRR is a misnomer. Open the fissure with a bur and do a sealant when indicated. Placing resin doesn’t have a good prognosis in my experience.

A doc in dental school told me “they teach you resins don’t need a certain thickness like amalgams to have strength, but they do.” Go into dentin if there is decay there.
