Photoshop is easy to learn once you learn a few basic Photoshop procedures. Because of its rich feature set, choosing Photoshop for its capability will not limit your creativity. If you are starting out in Photoshop, though, follow these steps, and you will be well on your way to being a Photoshop expert.

* Open the image you want to make into a new Photoshop file. Choose File ⇒ Open. After the file opens, follow the steps in the following section to insert the image into the new Photoshop file.
* Use Photoshop’s layout tools to resize the image to the desired size and then crop the image to the desired proportions. In the following example, the image is resized to a size of 6 inches by 9 inches, and the page is cropped to a size of 6 inches by 9 inches.

* The Crop tool is the most useful tool for resizing and cropping. Simply click and drag to the desired size.
* Create a new layer with the blank layer icon (it looks like a paintbrush).
* On the Layers palette, click the New Layer icon (it looks like a window). This creates a new layer above the current layer.
* On the Layers palette, click the Add Layer

1. How to Use Photoshop

Photoshop is a tool, not just a creative-or-artistic tool. For instance, it’s an indispensable tool for graphic designers. The same goes for photographers.

Here are some of the main functions you can perform in the software:

Trace, trace and scan your own photographs

Create contact sheets

Create and export web pages and their HTML files

Organize your images

Create EPS files, TIFF and PDF files

You can have the software open while you make edits or during the editing process. Photoshop is a multitasking software, meaning you can work on several different files simultaneously.

2. Open Photoshop

Photoshop can be opened in three ways. The first way is the Windows “start menu”. You need to select the file that you want to open and click on “Open”.

The second way is by double-clicking on the.psd file. This is the most common way people open Photoshop.

The third way is to open it in the file browser. The program will open automatically.

3. Learn to Use Photoshop

Photoshop is a complex program. Some of its features are too complicated for a beginner user. So, you need to master the basics in order to benefit from all its possibilities. For this reason, you need to know its different parts and features.

Learning how to use Photoshop can be an uphill battle. However, you can use these resources to have the right foundation to start.

There is no perfect way to learn Photoshop. You can start learning Photoshop from the beginning or in a multi-step way. I suggest that you start with an intermediate or even advanced course on Photoshop.

The Pen tool is also known as a brush tool, but it’s used for drawing objects on an image.
You can also apply textures using a paint bucket.
The Facial Filter, Dropper, and Gradient tools allow you to apply various filters and gradients to an image, or the entire image when the Gradient tool is used.

15. Rectangle Select, Ellipse Select, and Lasso

The Rectangle Select tool can be used to select a rectangular area of the image.

The Ellipse Select tool allows you to select an ellipse, or circle, with a given size.

The Lasso tool is used to select an area of the image, similar to the Rectangle Select and Ellipse Select tools.

The Smudge tool allows you to blur an image, as well as to edit various other effects.

Photoshop also has a Photo Filter feature. This is used to apply a number of different effects to an image. It can be found under the Effects tab.

18. Lens Correction

Another feature is the Lens Correction feature. This allows you to correct for flaws in your images. This feature is found under the Photo menu.

The Image Size tool allows you to change the resolution of an image. This is found under the Image menu.
